Maintain well being

Sep 8th, 2010 Posted in Stress Relief Tips | no comment »

Here are a few ways to maintain a sense of well-being and stress-free living.
1)Do something to calm your mind (pray, meditate, yoga)
2)Do something to simplify your environment (at home-get rid of clutter, at work-stay away from negative people)
3)Do something to feed your spirit (go to church, help with an organization/cause)
4)Do something good for your body (exercise, get a massage-facial-pedi/mani)

Do these things and it’ll lessen the stress level in your every day life.

Welcome back!

Learn to laugh

Sep 2nd, 2010 Posted in Stress Relief Tips | no comment »

“A cheerful heart is good medicine” ~~ Proverbs 17:22

When you’re feeling stressed or upset, try laughing…laughter helps release anxiety, tension, fear, anger.
It’ll transform your outlook on life at that moment.

What soap is to the body, laughter is to the soul. ~Yiddish Proverb

Laughing releases bottled up emotions and pent up feelings. Laughter releases endorphins which help reduce pain. Laugh every day, and you’ll feel better…physically and mentally.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter. ~e.e. cummings

With the fearful strain that is on me night and day, if I did not laugh I should die. ~Abraham Lincoln

Bliss

Sep 29th, 2009 Posted in Stress Relief Tips | no comment »

Bliss means supreme happiness, utter joy or contentment.
Doesn’t that sound wonderful?

“Stress is not what happens to us.
It’s our response TO what happens.
And RESPONSE is something we can choose.”
Maureen Killoran

“When you find yourself stressed, ask yourself one question:
Will this matter in 5 years from now?
If yes, then do something about the situation.
If no, then let it go.”
Catherine Pulsifer

Which would you prefer?
a feeling of total bliss or stress?
Apply the two quotes above in your daily life and you can lessen your stress.

Sep 17th, 2009 Posted in Products, Stress Relief Tips | no comment »

I received a Headache No More eye pillow from EyePillowCompany.com and love it!

They have various mixtures and fabrics for you to custom design your eye pillow.

I put mine in the freezer for a bit before using to add to the relaxation process, cool refreshing relaxing eye pillow totally put me at ease and enabled me to simply relax.

The eye pillow lays gently covering your eyes, conforming to your face (not just being ‘dead’ weight like some other eye masks, etc.) and the herbs used are calming…bringing forth a tranquil escape.

I received the Headache No More mix.

Eye Pillow Company is the first company that  I’ve found that the contents do not include lavender in every mixture.

See, I cannot be around lavender…it has reverse affect on me…it gives me an instant vein throbbing migraine.

Our ‘Headache No More’ filling is a mixture of organic eucalyptus, organic peppermint and organic golden flax seeds. We have specially selected aromatic herbs with a healing effect to help ease headaches and sinus aches.

Choose this blend to help you relieve headaches, migraines and sinus discomfort. This blend can be particularly effective if when chilled; simply cool your eye pillow in the fridge or freezer for about 10 minutes before use.

You can find them on Twitter at @eyepillows and @getrelaxed

You can order directly from them at EyePillowCompany.com

I love mine and can totally recommend them, knowing that the product is excellent and actually helps!!

So, why are you still here??

Relieves headaches, helps with stress, relaxes you, calms you…go get yours!

No Stress Money Issues

Sep 7th, 2009 Posted in General information | no comment »

Many people get stressed over financial issues (seems more so now than before due to economic situations right now). You don’t need to, nor should you allow money issues to stress you.

Here are a few tips on being able to deal with money issues in a no stress manner.

  • Before making a purchase ask yourself “Do I really want/need this” and “is this thing worth the time it took me to earn the money to pay for it“.
  • Make a budget…know exactly what comes in and what your expenditures are.
  • Save money in a separate account for “emergency use” and don’t touch it unless absolutely needed. Build your financial cushion.
  • Live within your means. This is a biggie! It’s basic math, if you spend more than you make you’re going to be running in a negative all the time.
  • Don’t use credit cards, pay cash for everything or use debit card (same as cash). If you must use credit cards, use those with the best interest rates and/or bonus points/incentives.
  • Erase your debt. Obviously you may still incur a mortgage, possibly a car payment. Credit cards should be paid and rid yourself of that monthly stressor of credit card debt. When you have no debt, you’ll be amazed at the weight lifted from your shoulders.
  • Stay positive and do what is right when it comes to making money and make sure to give, donate to others as well

Things happen in life that are unforeseen, so be prepared for those situations but don’t live a life stressed out over money. Don’t let money dictate the type of life you have. We all want more money, but if you’re still going to spend more than you make or have you’ll be exactly where you are now…stressed. Learn to live with money and appreciate it and what you can accomplish and do with it, but don’t let it stress you.

“Money is like manure; it’s not worth a thing unless it’s spread around encouraging young things to grow.” ~ Thornton Wilde

“Never spend your money before you have it” ~ Thomas Jefferson
